I've opened my Amiga junk drawer where I keep some old things like the 68000 belonging to my CDTV and a couple other things, looking for some EEPROMs and I've suddenly noticed the EEPROM of my old TQM I've set aside at the time because half erased and missing PIN 1.
I decide to read it to check if there's still some readable code inside, so I check this EEPROM against one from another TQM bought a week ago. Both are half-assed, mine has 32000 characters and a lot of other junk, but comparing them reveals only 2000 differences. However the first 64 characters of my TQM look suspiciously good, so I try to copy and paste these characters into the newer one, save the file, reprogram the EEPROM and start the A1200 without RAM: I can successfully load the Workbench. So I decide to mount over the board also a RAM bank of 64Mb (which couldn't be read by the previous EEPROM with KICK 3.1), restart the system and IT WORKS!!! If you have an Hardital TQM that mounts a 29c256 EEPROM, I can reprogram it using an executable file that was with a Cobra DKB and the file I've just successfully recovered!
