You should play RE 3 on Dreamcast it's much cooler than the PSX version

- 64 MB ram (if u can find one, lol I use an 128MB SDRAM module...)
- A PCI gfx card , with 4MB or 8MB ram , the s3 virge ones where good and common so they are supported a lot. then you need to get also the free UNIVBE 6.7 package to add better VESA screenmodes support... on another thread there where reccomendation for Matrox cards, but I never had any of them...
- A soundblaster16 ISA sound card that has the wavetable connector so you can add an extra wavetable daughterboard. there are better sound cards than soundblaster16 for sure, but since we need high compatibillity without messing with drivers/settings, this is an excellent choise.
as for the wavetable daughterboard: excellent choises are the Yamaha DB50XG or DB60XG or the Roland SDB-55. ofcourse the ultimate midi+wave combo would be: sb16+db?0XG and an extra isa midi card like the Roland LAPC-I or the SCC-I ... that gives 100% sound satisfaction
- 20GB HD ... it is amazing how fast u can fill it with old games

I have this dos-box: p166mmx/128MB Ram/20GB HD/Diamond Stealth3D Pro (s3 virge dx) 4MB/SB16+DB60XG/Roland SCC-I and a USB2 pci card to transfer files easily... installed is win98se with the unofficial SP2...
Cheers for this mate. Interesting stuff.

The game was boxed complete with an additional missions CDROM and all the extras (manual, maps, etc).
Is EF2000 easy to get into and play just like F29 was on the Amiga, or is it another case of almost needing a pilots licence to play, just like every other PC flight sim that is out there?

Here is one of mine weird old PC games.
The Final Chess-Card from 1989.A card for the ISA port.With a 65SC02-4 CPU.Similar to a C64 CPU.This CPU is a 4 Mhz CPU.
So, if you need true calculating power for the 386/486 PC plug in a ISA card with C64 CPU.

Yes.It seems that a 286/386 CPU was to slow ( ) back
in those days.IMO the 6502 CPU is a RISC CPU.

Indeed my friend theres nothing as wholesome as saving the world from evil zombie creating corperations with a massive array of weaponary and dodgy acting )

I have all the res-evil games on PC and the latter 2 translate well but for ultimate res-evil its certainly the PSX 1 Directors cut verions..

as a kinda off topic.. have you played "path to fiddlers green"? its a zombie horror fps... with some half decent story ..

Not a PC game but Retrogaming all the same...

Today me and my friend who has an FM Marty console purchased this:

Bit crazy though, the final price of the auction + delivery was roughly £140

The thing I loved about older games was all the cool random stuff you got with them, I remember buying Wing Commander for the PC which included the big blueprints for all the ships

Same with the Amiga boxed games I have. Ultimas has the cloth maps and metal trinkets, autoduel came with a screwdriver set in the box, their finest hour came with a huge book about the air war over england etc.
