[code] tag?

Look at my Amiga Chippack post. I tired to post it in a fixed width font so the .nfo file's attributes are maintained, but I couldn't. I used the FONT tag and marked it as "Courier" and then as "Courier New", to no avail, it didn;t work.

Would it bepossible to have a [code] tag like the one in the vB system, so we can type in .nfo files and respect their aspect?

Hmm... I tried it, but it still screwed up the ascii. I guess I HAVE to specify that it uses Terminal and not Courier.

With a special CODE tag the Terminal font could be used, and the ascii displayed correctly. Like what scene.org or pouet.net have.

Thanks for the tip though!

They don;t work for ASCII. ASCII has toi be viewed in a terminal font ot Topaz for Amiga. Go to scene.org and look at any release pack or results file with ascii, like this one:
http://www.scene.org/file.php?file=%...s.txt&fileinfo

scene.org renders a graphic from the TXT file using the Terminal font. That shouldn't be needed here , but...

So far the <pre> tag does a fairly decent job. Thanks Kheph!

</font></pre>

should be enough for news page

Jeez, the font tag doesn't care if you have a mac or a pc!

Change it to tag to <font face="courier news, courier">. It will use the lame mac courier font since it won't find the first font.

Khephren is right, you should precise all the font you need in the "face=" tag.

Moreover Terminal font should be avoid on PC because it is not a monospace font on PC. (see attached pic)

solution :

<pre><font face="courier news,terminal">
</font></pre>

-> courier news on PC, terminal for mac, (or whatever is better)

I bloody KNOW.

The thing is, the mac doesn't have that Courier or Courier new SHIT,m that's why I cannot check.

I ALREADY made the font face tag specifying "Terminal, Monaco", I couldn't check the terminal part.

RCK: How about chaging it to that System shit. Please post a piccy.

Terminal part is bugged on PC, (not a monospace font, same result as the previous screenshot)

-> Please replace Terminal with "Courier News" for correct PC display.

Ok ok, I changed it, I forgot to. But Terminal IS monospace and displays all ASCIIS correctly if its size is 6 or something like that. The other sizes are screwed.
