O & P keys in fellow
Bit of a strange one this. When using Winfellow I find that the O & P keys on the keyboard do not work.
Anyone else get this or know how to fix it? |

Are you sure you are not using a joystick emulation that uses those two keys?
I ask because i've noticed on WinUAE that i have no working arrow keys if i select to emulate the joystick with them. |

As far as I know the O and P keys aren't emulated in the joystick in Winfellow. And I've had that problem too, it's darn annoying because that prevents you from playing text adventure games, and some games with passwords would get hard using since they might contain O or P

Looking at the file mapping.key (a simple text file), i've seen that the keys O and P are used to make autofire0 and autofire1 in the joystick1 configuration so that could be where the problem lies.
Try changing that with two keys you don't use with the joystick1. |

But be careful anyway!
I found out that if you set some bogus key names for the "new" autofire keys, the defaults ('O' and 'P') are re-used! What worked perfectly for me was to set BOTH autofire keys to GRAVE in 'mapping.key'. This is a dead accent key on some non-US keyboards. Usually, you never need it, and you have your 'o' and 'p' keys back afterwards - what do you want more? Last edited by andreas; 13 July 2001 at 22:54. |

I tried looking through my file and found that the only thing O and P were assigned as were the keys O and P, yet they still don't work.

It Works!
Changed the lines in the mapping.key: JOYKEY1_AUTOFIRE0 = GRAVE JOYKEY1_AUTOFIRE1 = GRAVE I dont know why it works but it does Thanks all |
