Kickstart 3.1 install for Amiga 500 pictures?

Bought a Kickstart 3.1 rom for the Amiga 500 today. The fine print on the auction said:

"For Amiga 500 Rev 3 and Rev 5 boards, the ROM socket must have pin 1 connected to pin 31 and the ROM IC must have connected pin 21 to bent-up pin 31"

As best I can tell my 500 is a Rev 3. So that in mind, does anyone know where I can see a picture of what this installation looks like when completed?

What is the purpose of a 3.1 ROM in an A500?

Maybe it's for OS3.9 using an ACA500 along with an ACA1232? Just guessing

There are many A500 accelerators/expansions that make 3.1 worthwhile.

Well I have one reason to install the 3.1 kickstart: I want to be able to select the boot disk at startup. The trick of holding down both mouse buttons to select a boot disk does not exist in the 1.3 kickstart as far as I know.

Now if you know of a boot disk selection trick for 1.3 that would save me installing a chip I don't need.

There is *every* reason to install kick 3.1 in an A500 Basically, it's Kick 2.0 with less compatibility issues and leaving more RAM free after booting.

Another very good reason is because you want to run WB 3.1 with ClassicWB, WHDLoad, and other add-ons. Accelerator is optional.

I used to own a 3000. Just have to say hands down that is one awesome machine and I miss it.

When I saw the 3.1 Kickstart screen and later the bootup screen (by holding down the two mouse buttons at startup) I was finally back to the Amiga I remember.

So more free ram after booting? Did not know that. Cool.
