Best horizontal shoot-em-up - round 1

We haven't had one of these for a while, so it's another competition to find out what's your favourite game of a certain genre. This time we're going for horizontal shoot-em-ups (obviously). To keep things simple this time (unlike the platform one) anything that's listed in horizontal shoot-em-up in HOL is eligible. Anything that isn't, er, isn't.

Rules:

- You must nominate your TWO favouritegames. Not one, not three, not 47, TWO. Otherwise your vote won't count.

- This round will finish at midnight two weeks from today (May 21st). The 15 (if there is that many) games that get the most votes will be included in the poll for round 2.

I'll start the whole thing off:

T-Zero
Project-X Special Edition (the original and SE count as different games by the way)

And can a mod make this thread sticky please? Thanks!

I nominate :
walker
navy moves

ps.
sorry for bitching, but can anybody explain why 'apocalypse' is described as "multi-directional" while 'uridium2' is "horizontal"?

what is so "m-d" about the first what does not apply to the latter?

btw. why is uridium "horizontal" anyway? always thought that the vertical/horizontal division is about point of view, not about movement direction...

Because it is horizontally-scrolling It is about the direction it scrolls rather than the viewpoint.
