Hi! lubomyr...

Thanks for the update and for keeping the work on this emu.

Yesterday i run the update in the Shield TV (with Oreo) and after the SDL screen kicks out to the Shield launcher.

I made a reset to default in SDL option and i have the same result.

Finally made a fresh install with the same result too.

I installed it in an old Moto G cel (Android 6.0) and it works.

Hi Lubomyr,

I tested the latest beta on some devices:
Oneplus 3 android 8.0,and Galaxy Tab S2 android 7.0 ,Galaxy S3 Neo android 4.4.2: working
Nvidia Shield TV android 8.0 : not working. The app started,and closed always.

I tested only with my Xiaomi MI MIX 2 (android 8.0).
No idea why it don't work on Nvidia Shield TV

Everything it was working well on the SHIELD until the before last and this lastest version.

Just a hint
There is an app called "pixel filter" in google play that adds scanlines. Not only to this app but on everything you will see on your screen.

Is there somewhere we can download older beta apks ? The current beta version on Android 4.4.4 locks up when you turn on/off the onscreen keyboard. I'm using this on a GPD XD handheld so the onscreen keyboard is essential (otherwise it defeats the point of being a handheld version).

Latest beta version is 1.0.0.21 and non-beta is 1.0.0.16 so i'm looking for the versions inbetween.

No, Its old betas.

Thanks lubomyr, v1.0.0.19 seems to be the last version where the on-screen keyboard doesn't lock up the app for me. I'm wondering if this next commit https://github.com/lubomyr/uae4arm/c...2c28b626880f0e is the one that affected the on-screen keyboard on Android 4.4.4 ?

Is there any chance you could compile and post the latest apk without that commit please ? The app seems to freeze on Android 4.4.4 when using the on-screen keyboard from that commit onwards. Only a theory though. Not sure what it actually does but it seemed to work fine without it in previous versions.

I have a problem with savestates. Each time I save a game the emu close and have to restart again. Im using the last beta available for android.

but i doubt that can affect on this problem, because one parameters which i added in app config i accidentaly lost after in one previous commit, and in this commit i only restored it back.

This is just a report on what happens on Android 4.4.4.

uae4arm-test-20180923
This version shows the on-screen Android keyboard (instead of the transparent custom one) but also fills the top half of the screen with what you're typing.

uae4arm-test-20180923-android-keyboard
This version is the same but only shows the Android keyboard.

Unfortunately because it's the Android keyboard it doesn't contain the special Amiga keys like F1-F10 etc. But, both versions didn't freeze the app when opening/closing the on-screen keyboard.

Thanks for your time, I think i'll stick with version 1.0.0.19 as it seems quite stable.

I have done some extensive testing with 1.0.0.19 on my STV and it does crash at random times, especially when changing quickstart from A500 to A1200.

Lubo can you make a fixed APK for Shield TV Android 8.0 please?

Only bad thing that i can't reproduce this crash with my android device or emulator(s)

new beta version probably will be published on googleplay today or tomorrow changes:

- updated pelya's libSDL (up to 2018.09.07) https://github.com/pelya/commanderge...ts/sdl_android

pelya's libSDL in current branch after 2018.09.07 stopped support NDK r17b. Now it support only latest NDK r18. This new version of ndk not contain gcc compiler. That mean if uae4arm code won't compatible with clang compiler, we cannot use latest version of pelya's libSDL
