Jetstrike AGA version - written in AMOS?

So HOL lists the AGA version of Jetstrike as written in AMOS but wasn't AMOS ECS only? So how exactly does that go together?

Is it really an AGA game or does it just make use of 2MB chip ram and runs on ECS as well? Like Primal Rage, for instance.

If it really is an AGA game, how did they manage to do that with AMOS? Is it possible to use inline assembler from AMOS or is it only partly written in AMOS?

I heard it used a custom extension written in Assembly but the rest was AmosPro.
