I was wrong
There is RO version 1.27, and it is free from the author. Check it at: http://rummeyer.wordpress.com/2010/01/04/ro/ Click the download link at his weblog and get the files |

Could somebody upload all of the files he's hosting to the zone please? With Linux+Firefox I can't download anything ("the page you are viewing has expired").

Hi All,
RO Uses Volumelist.mui control. If you are planning on using larger volumes (under WinUAE for example) you will need: http://aminet.net/dev/mui/DC-VLmui.lha Patched version of Volumelist.mui that understands larger volume sizes. Cheers, Red |

Nice to read, that you like RO. Every time I read something from the Amiga scene it's like a time travel for me!

Hi Oliver - RO is a great program - did you create any other Amiga programs?

Hi everybody!
Thank you very much for this kind feedback! I really appreciate that :-) It's a long time ago since I did RO... btw, its original name should have been ROpus but you know there was another tool with a very similar name. And RO is more like SID from this Australian guy with a name I forgot. RO is the only software I released for the Amiga back then. I have the source code, but from my point of view today it's really ugly code... I'm working as a software developer for a large german bank today and think I learned a lot in the last (almost) 15 years. ;-) Just to tell a little story... I have the source code since this year again. A very kind guy helped me in getting it from my old A3K. Then I got in touch with Andreas Magerl who is responsible for the german Amiga Future magazine. I realized that there is still a community out there and I think this is really cool. RO is now released as free software and is published with issue 83 of the Amiga Future mag. Maybe I should publish the source code as well... I'll think about that. Greetz, Oliver |

Just maybe someone would have taken the further development of the RO for Amiga Classic?
BTW: Maybe it would be a good idea for the Bounty for 3.x systems? For example NetSurf which could be faster. |

The Amiga and Aros communities would love to have the source of RO to continue its development.
