It looks amazing earok! One of my all time favourite C64 games. Really looking forward to playing it on my Amiga.

Ok guys, Merry Christmas! It's very late so this might come off a bit rambly.
I've put an UNOFFICIAL PREVIEW release of the game in the zone to meet my self imposed deadline of Christmas day (it's 2AM here). Also at MEGA: https://mega.nz/#!16IWFajD!6Gqs-9Utr...9Na-w7Obf8xCZs It is complete so far as every level being present, along with a final cutscene, credits and options, but there are improvements left to be done. It hasn't been tested on real hardware yet (I'll try it out on my CD32 sometime soon) so it's possible/likely there'll be some issues on some real Amigas. There may be further "preview" releases before a proper official release is out there. There's no readme yet, so here's a whole bunch of notes. Original game was by Access Software and the late, great Bruce Carver. Adrian Cummings (of "Mutation" fame) did the original Amiga graphics, Simone Bernacchia has done a fantastic "80s cold war paranoia" soundtrack and John Tsakiris has done a bunch of work on the graphics and audio, as well as playtesting and help with direction. This project simply couldn't have been done without their invaluable help This is the fourth release of the ReImagine line of fanworks (following Giana SE, Time Gal and Road Avenger). It should run on any Amiga with 512KB chip and 512KB other. Again, I haven't had the opportunity to test on real hardware yet, but runs OK in WinUAE in A500 1MB settings. While I'm only providing an ADF at this point, it's an AmigaDOS game so the files should "just work" from HDD or CD. If it turns out that it doesn't work on real hardware, I'll try to get a new preview release fixed up as soon as possible. NTSC is supported but not thoroughly tested - there may be parts of the game that still run too fast, we'll address this in a future update. The game is fully playable from joystick only - the keys used in the C64 version still work but aren't necessary. In addition, Tsak has come up with a "modified" control scheme that may be easier for new players. The C64 manual should be mostly applicable to the Amiga version, but here's the complete control scheme including our adjustments. MAP Enter hangar: Fire or Space Note that this can be done multiple times to launch multiple fighters. HANGAR Thrust: Up Climb: Fire (Down on modified control scheme) Turn: Left/Right Open doors: F7 / Fire 2 / Down (Fire on modified control scheme) Hangar door only open when your fighter is airborne. APPROACH Bank: Left/Right (Up/Down on modified control scheme) Climb: Down (Right on modified control scheme) Descend: Up (Left on modified control scheme) Shoot: Fire SILO Bank: Left/Right Climb: Down Descend: Up Shoot: Fire SOVIET DEFENCE CENTRE Move: Left/Right Aim Up: Down (Up on modified control scheme) Aim Down: Up (Down on modified control scheme) Shoot: Fire REACTOR ROOM Move: Left/Right Adjust aim: Up/Down Throw disc: Fire I think that's it! (Damien, do you think it's worthwhile renaming and / or moving the thread at this point? Otherwise, I'm happy for it to be left as-is until the official release is out.) |

Just tested in on a A1200/030@40Mhz. Played it in classic mode and it ran without problems (from HD folder).
Awesome conversion! Last edited by Nightshft; 25 December 2019 at 13:15. |

Seems to work ok on my towered b1260 although I only had time to transfer it across, load it, and die once in the hangar before my wife ordered me back to the family party!

I kept getting 'Unknown Error' when loading in WinUAE with 512k chip + 512k slow configs, only 1mb chip worked for me, then I realised I had DF1: ticked
Now I just need to get out of the F'in hangar!! earok |

Same here, the game works perfectly on my A500 from floppy disk but on my Towered A1200 it works from HD but I get no sound. The game seems great, though, I got to the third level so far (I completed the game on my C64 back in the days...) Last edited by jurassicman; 27 December 2019 at 09:06. |
