I’ve created a script that download the latest share and RTg stuff, along with a script for the Amiga side, and dumps that into an adf as well as Lha. Adds rtg and share to an installed hd

And here's a pic of the Amiga keyboard interface PCB I've designed and had made at PCBway. This stuff is amazing - I can't believe you can get this sort of thing so cheaply!

And here's the code for the Leonardo - https://github.com/ByteMavericks/MiMimiKB - which is just adding mapping for the MiSTerFPGA / Minimig core to make it nice to use.

Is it possible to map the Right Amiga key or is it already mapped to something?
Edit: I see in the config you can map the menu key to Right Amiga. Last edited by JumpingJackson; 09 April 2021 at 12:57. Reason: RTFM |

I am assembling a MiSTer and should have all the pieces in the next week or two. Excited to dig into this.
On the other hand, I finally upgraded my Amiga 1000 to Kickstart 1.3 (from 1.1) so I am going to obviously be pretty busy... |

Some interesting developments in the MiSTer space
Looks like we will get a hybrid FPGA option soon which will eventually deliver a fast 040 (possibly with an MMU). MiSTer may yet turn out it be the fastest FPGA Amiga For those that don't know the hybrid approach means using the ARM CPU to pretend to be a 68K and the FPGA to simulate the classic chipset. Started faffing about with my MiSTer again, having discovered the MegaAGS pack and finding out about inbuilt RTG support. Running into two issues, though - highest res screenmodes (1920x1080 or 1920x1200) are non functional, flickering like crazy with the image corrupted beneath. (Bringing up the MiSTer menu itself is fine) The other lower resolution screenmodes are fine though (1280x720 for example)
It's also not saving my screenmode when I do set it. |

It's weird - I'll set it to one of the higher resolutions, like 1280x720, but after I quit a game, or perform a reboot, the screenmode prefs still show 1280x720, but the screen LOOKS like default.

Have you done a full update recently? I can recommend the update_all script if you aren't already using it.

Yep. Couldn't get the MegaAGS working right, so gave up and nuked the SD card and did a clean reinstall yesterday (I haven't messed with any of the other cores, so only had to reinstall MiSTer and copy over the MegaAGS files, and update the .ini) which included the update_all. Now the full HD screenmodes work, but still not displaying the saved resolution correctly after a reset.

I am looking at the Mister FPGA standard and digital IO boards. I don't have a CRT monitor/TV so the the standard board seems a waste of money for my needs. What I don't fully understand is what use the digital IO board is because my understanding was the DE10-nano can already output to HDMI and even though it also has a SDRAM slot, you use the slot on the DE10 for that from what I can tell in setup videos.
So if I am connecting via HDMI is there any real point in the digital IO board? The only thing I can think of is it comes with a fan rather than having to fit my own heatsink and fan to the DE10-nano (which I would rather not try to do). |

Fitting this kind of cheap fan/heatsink is banally simple: you just put it on the chip and plug the cable in. |

Does anyone use theirs in a case? I would feel more comfortable have mine enclosed in something like this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294144558....c101195.m1851 Should I be concerned with it overheating in something like that? |

Thanks for everyone's help. I've taken the plunge and ordered a DE10-nano and the 7 port Mister USB hub. I don't have a usb hub I could use so thought I might as well have the usb board that goes with it to keep things neat. I went for the 128Mb SDRAM just for (probably unnecessary) future proofing.
I haven't gone for either of the IO boards but may go for the digital one further down the line as the toslink would be quite useful for me. No case ordered yet as it would depend if I bother to get the IO board or not as to which one to get. The only thing I still need to get is a DC power supply which I believe should be a 5V 4A one. I'm not sure if using the USB hub changes that requirement though. |

The 2A power supply that comes with the DE10-Nano is fine also if you don't have a lot of things connected, I have been using that exclusively without issues so far. It has a US plug so you will need one of those cheap adapters though.

Thanks. I didn't even realize the DE10 came with a power supply so I'll look for a US adapter.
