Football Game?

Hey guys,

This is going to be a hard one...

Many, many years ago I used to play a very cool football game with my brother. Problem is that I'm not sure if it was on the C64 or the Amiga.

I've taken a look through the HOL database but been unable to find it

Empire Soccer 94 http://hol.abime.net/2851 is kind of similar but it's not the game I'm after...

There is two football games I distinctly remember playing many moons ago agaisnt my cousin on his C64, who was one true footy nut.....

Cup Final (1983)- which I believe was one of the first footy games ever to appear on the C64. I believe it was also called International Soccer with of these versions being on Cartridge - can't remember what.

The other is Match Day, which was the only football game I had on the Spectrum. Available for the C64 to.

To quote the screenshot you attached the only other one I can remotely think that looks or at least plays "vertically" is Microprose Soccer....

Any of 'em the one??

that cup final game looks like International soccer (a cartridge) for c64 same game?

That Empire Soccer94 - didn't that have some kind of comedy element like you could fight etc???? probably wrong but i remeber a game that looks like that which was quite fun to play!

quahappy, you are the man

I'm pretty sure that's the one, though I thought the graphics were better

I also seem to remember it raining and when you tacked people you would slide around the place... Ah, just fully read the info:

the game had very good weather options, and the replay option of every goal was also very nice
It's also available on the Amiga http://hol.abime.net/2467. The funny thing is that when I saw the screen shot I thought "No, that's not it". I think the C64 title screen is what I remembered

I must say that Empire Soccer 94 looks very similar but better graphics, have to give this a bash...

PS. Thanks for your help as well sarek2k.

Pleased that was the one DamienD!

What I would really like, is to play the new instalment of SWOS or whatever final name it'll get, over the net....

geeeezzzzz........ I just noticed the omittance of words and the shite grammar in my previous post.... disguskted with meself. So hard choice now... timewarp back to the 80's - go back to school, or, relive those Amiga days? Know what I'd choose....
