Anything that has been shown to work in any capacity is clearly not vaporware.

There has to be said that a distinction between vapourware and "real" products exists.
Natami was/is real, just like Elbox Dragon was. They simply haven't made it to market. Be it for a decision of their creators, for a lack of time, because it didn't work as expected or maybe because they got bored of it. Thus, nobody here is saying that what the Apollo Team (or even Thomas Hirsch!) wasn't real. Just that shipping a REAL product takes age and that it might never happen even if there are working prototypes somewhere. Vapourware instead is just something that exists in someone's mind but doesn't exist in any form That said, good luck to everyone making new hardware, especially the Apollo Team |

"The boards are in production/shipment.
We expect to receive them this week." ^^^^ In JUNE 2014 ... 2015 January a few days away... zipshit nothing. Please clean this vapourware trash of the forum. Its wastes time you never get back reading people you didn't took for liars when you clicked the thread - And you notice the names are always the same, jumping from fraudulent vapourware "project" to the other. Or maybe they just used the slowest mail service in the planet! SIX EFFIN' MONTHS to ship to your home. HE CLAIMED HE WAS GOING TO RECEIVE PRODUCTION BOARDS THAT VERY WEEK! Is this turning into one of those banana dancing boards where weirdos who can barely speak english yammer about new "amiga" hardware in two more weeks? EAB didn't use to be like that. |

I don't recall any direct announcement regarding the apollo boards and a release date. 2014 may have been mooted though. 2015 seems more realistic. Let's hope they can do it and there are not any major hiccups along the way. Natami? Forget about it. if something surfaces in time then well and good, if not then meh. |

But skip this part... As You are 39 year old You should be able to behave like adult, mature person not spoiled kid. Side to this FYI - this kind of project are expensive and big - as Amiga community is small it is clear that it is very difficult to make big profit on Amiga products (probably most of Amiga companies are barely able to not lose money - Ask Jens about his private yachts ). It is common that those projects are long with high risk of failure - even today with low prices for electronic technology (yes, for last 30 years availability for decent cheap EDA tools and cheap components) made possible for amateur to have hobby like this even with this kind of designs. I assume that financial support will be appreciated - You can offer money donation - i assume few 10k E will speed up design process. TIA! btw Sorry for my English, not native, self learned. |

So far it is just someone posting that it is supported on some web board, not exactly proof.

Just to clear up any ambiguity (and doubts), the Full Apollo core is up and running on the new test boards, there are still bugs to be ironed out and the Vampire is getting an upgrade so that all releases on all Amigas will be compatible with each other, there is no point in trying to support multiple cores.

Is there a list of people who are (or preparing to) develop accelerator cards based on this? I know there is the Vampire card but was wondering if there are any more?

Sorry, but if Gunnar says MOVEP is there, then it has many chances of being there, because he was originally against implementing it so he has no reason to lie ! |
