Scammers and miscreants in the retro computing scene

I figured this topic needed its own thread, there have been a few threads about individuals in the past, but one thread for the general theme could be useful.

Anyway, this 44 minute rant showed up in the "Australian Sceners" Facebook group, and in the opening minutes the author urges the listener to share the audio, so I am.

This is the first time I've heard of this guy, as I've little interest in the 8-bit platforms. But anyone with any interest in the ZX spectrum or C64 scenes may find this particularly interesting.

That audio clip is absolute gold! Well worth a listen if you're after a good laugh! This Damian Caynes guy sounds like an absolute piece of crap!

Damn, maybe someone with a soundcloud account can contact him and privately request it. I have a funny feeling that he may have been subject to some kind of censorship initiated by the subject of the audio in question.

reminds me a politically incorrect meme I won't repost, though this one is close enough without being too offensive.

As for the "scene" each one has it's people that try and cash in buy buying up other peoples work and sell it for themselves, or some other bullshit, best just to ignore them I find.

Doesn't sound too different from the behaviour of some of "der management" who actually sold the machines in the first place.

But I'm a larrikin, so I like larrikin works like this.
