Direct3D 11 in WinUAE 3.6.1
I have some questions regarding the behavior of Direct 3D 11 vs 9 with the latest stable WinUAE.
Thanks! |

1: yes, D3D11 fullscreen mode does not support any GUI (GDI) elements.
2: "not enough information" |

Try without low latency vsync, it isn't tuned for d3d11 yet. Normal vsync should work much better with d3d11 than d3d9. (or uses d3d9 if you really need it)

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it has no impact. It's not a big deal as I use that config for productivity more than games so I can just stick with D3D9.
However I find your comment interesting as I have a save state which shows glitching for me using D3D9 low latency v sync no buffering which goes away using D3D11. Is this because D3D11 low latency v sync is not really low latency? I have attached the save state. It is using Qwak and Alien Breed Twin CD and the issue is Alien Breed. With the save state when I move left and right the scrolling glitches at the top of the screen with D3D9, but not D3D11. Last edited by Octopus66; 18 March 2018 at 21:03. Reason: Spelling |
