Thumbs up EAB Xmas IRC Chat

As the festive season draws near, I feel that it would be appropriate to hold an EAB Xmas IRC session.

I suggest Sunday 16th December - it's the weekend and anyone going on holiday over Christmas will probably still be around.

We can decide on some discussions, or let it flow naturally. The log of the discussion can be kept for future generations!

All are welcome!

IRC = Internet Relay Chat

It's not quite so popular nowadays, but you get yourself a client like mIRC (for Windows) and log onto a server. Everyone else does the same and connects to a channel. Then you have a discussion with the other people in the channel.

IRC = Old fashion chat. Could be fun if there's something to talk about.

@ Cody: Why take a special day to chat?
The goal of this operation is to perform a virtual meeting with majority of EAB members during a whole day, on a channel

Which server would #Amigatronic be on? This was probably answered before though.

An IRC X-Mas chat would be grand

I'll bring the bells and stuff, you people can bring the beer

Also we can have 'Kick the Marz' contests

Prize of a uberleet ADF to the first person to do it at 50Hz for 1 second

C'U @ #AmigaTronic

I went to #AmigaTronic once. About 10 or so people there and I don't remember a single person there who would even talk to me. I idled for a bit, then logged off. Haven't been back since.

I remember that once..Twisty..

I had just relogged, it was ~8.30am after a long night
I click to the channel to see you part..

I assume you saw me before I saw you......its easier to see someone joining than someone already in the channel you don't expect...

But I would love to see you back for an actual chat!
