Hi, im new to the amiga 500, I'd like to get programming, and I was wondering if anybody knows or can recommend a basic interpreter and compiler for the amiga ( if there is one ).

Many thanks,

francis.

Hi
it depends on what you want to do if it's application or games.
For application I'll go the GFA Basic way for game you have Amos Pro. Of course there is many others like Hisoft Basic, BlitzBasic, Amiga Basic, Pure basic...

Delivered with your brand new A500 is a set of disks, where on Extras disk an AmigaBasic interpreter is provided.
Also nice and included as well is the Amigabasic manual!

Try these, they work fine. If you like to do more, go for EasyAmos or BlitzBasic 1.x.

Have fun coding!
