Being the strategy and adventure game nut that I am, I'd recommend the following games (not guaranteed to suit your tastes ;D)

Colonization
History Line 1914-1918
K240
Monkey Island 1 & 2 (You've probably already played those, though )
Simon the Sorcerer
UFO - Enemy Unknown

And then there's the all-time classics Moonstone and Wings! Those games simply never get old.

Cool

@ NytroX86 : Thanks for the zone uploads, now onto the feedback:

- Balloonacy : not convinced yet, but seems like a fun thing to play if you really hate the people around you!
- Superpac : I never liked pacman games, but I tried this one for the sake of it and didn't like it...
- Transplant : good stuff. No hype, just plain gameplay. Nice!

@ everybody : Thanks for the many answers! My modem is smoking!

It was a pretty decent conversion from CD32 to disk!
Or maybe once again a case of a floppy game being filled up with extras for a "CD extravaganza". I seem to recall a Tony Crowther interview with The One, & think they'd changed from doing the floppy game to the CD32 version in a matter of 3-4months.

Now I think of it I also seem to recall a preview a bit earlier & how he'd developed a 3D editor which they reckoned could've been good enough to be a commercial product ala Deluxe Paint.
My issues are packed away at the moment, can anyone find which issues had these things?

I Don't see any mention of IK+ here - thought I'd pop it in.

Still piss my pants when I play this one - regardless of alcohol content

You might have played the CD32 talkie version (with speech) of simon 1.

Can't quite remember if it was a PC or amiga thing.

I recall seeing a Demo of Simon the sorceror 2 at a friend's house. A friend with an A1200, I can recall where the computer stood but I can't recall him having a PC at that spot in his room. As far as I recall he moved stuff around.

At any rate the Simon 2 demo had speech. HD installed. Could've been what you played, if it was indeed on the Amiga.

furthermore the simon 2 I played did not have speech (perhaps because it was a cracked version, or maybe not, because that would be illegal now, wouldn't it )

Yes it would be very much illegal and you should buy all the games you want to play.

I like my Simon the sorceror 1 and 2 CD talkie versions. And with scummvm I can actually play them without graphics corruption or freezing my entire system.

It looks like you were not very interesed in role playing games. Eye of the Beholder series are ideal for starting. Or maybe you'll like zelda style RPGs, I played Speris Legacy today, it's a top quality Team 17 game. Speaking of Team 17, have you ever played Worms or Project X? Project X recalled another shooter, Stardust, and Super Stardust both are very good titles. I can never stop speaking on this matter

Have you checked CodyJarrett's Amazing Top 20 Amiga Games thread?
Does Super Stardust work with WinUAE now? I tried it a long time ago on a different PC and it did not work. The ADF files for Super Stardust are hard to find now too. I own the CD32 version of Super Stardust and it would be cool to get that working with WinUAE.

I remember playing it recently but I'm nĂ½ot sure if it was on real amiga or under emulation. The adfs should be on tosec sites, I would upload them but I'm at school atm.
