WHDLoad Exception while running Monkey Island 2

Hi folks,

I am getting this error while trying to run Monkey Island 2 (Italian version) with WHDLoad:

EXCEPTION "Trap #15" ($BC) at $28A occured.

Any hint on what's going wrong here?

It might help if you say what your hardware setup is or if you run it on an emulator.

Also how you installed the game, was it from real or cracked disks or did you download it pre installed?

Assume you're using the latest version of whdload?

I have an Amiga 1200.
Expansion card 2MB Omega Nemesis
Indivision AGA MkII for the video out
1GB CF card as hard disk

I own the original English version, but the version I installed is the Italian version from Amiga TOSEC.
I burnt ADF to real floppies using transwarp, (the floppies are working)

This will not work since the executable has been modified to call a crack patch routine which is copied very low into memory before starting the game. The WHDLoad only supports the unmodified original versions of the game.

May be possible to install the full original english version I own and afterwards activate the Italian translation from my cracked floppies?
I am making assumptions, dunno if this is possible.

You can get the game files pre-installed from:

http://www.whdownload.com/games.php?...hButton=Search

Just download the archive and extract it (do the extraction on your Amiga, not PC)
