Most A1200 expansions are hacks, the machine was never meant to go as far as the 3rd party designers have gone with it. This is just the result of it being the most common Amiga in the field, there's a market to expand them by any means possible. I don't mean to slag the A1200 and it's users even though all the above sounds like that. My point is that we should see the fully expanded A1200 as what it is, a nice hack that happens to work for many people, not as a great example of electronics design. |
