Exclamation Help! Broken Sd/ff!

Hey Yo!

Crisis here people! I have just looked at my SD/FF after taking pics of my BMON/Switcher and, to my horror, have just discovered that one of the wires has come loose on the main SD/FF PCB. It looks like a simple solder job, which i don't have the skills for!!! Can anyone on these boards help an AmiBro out and solder the wire back on!!! Help will be very appreciated. Many thanks in advanced!

Regards,

Sure no problem- send it and we will resolder the wire back on. DCE usually put hot glue on each end of the two strand connecting wire to strengthen the connection. This can also be done to yours.

mine did not have hot-glue there...
I glued the wires with super-glue before sending it to alewis who bought it...

Hey Yo!

Yeah that would be spot on! Could you also take a look at my BMON as i am not too sure if it is working fully lol It seems to work ok, but after looking at someone elses, my one looks a bit dodgy sort of. The connector socker that goes to the RTG card seems to be dodgy (ie not all the pins connect to the PCB!). Please PM me your address and the fee it will cost me and i can send it out to you for tomorrow.

Regards

No problem- since buying the Eyetech stock we have hundreds of BMON/UMON PCBs and components and completed units. So we will be able to piece yours together.

The very same thing had happened to mine..... It was given to me for nowt as non working. Two mins with the soldering iron et voila a lovely working SD/FF!

I am a lousy solderer but it was very easy.
