amiga/NetBSD 7.1 and mounting ptyfs (/dev/pts)
I've set up an install of NetBSD 7.1 using WinUAE 3.5.
NetBSD gets up and running just fine, but I cannot mount ptyfs, which ultimately means my X session is xterm-less, and therefore useless. I've found a few reference online from folks using past versions of NetBSD. In general, you need to use the GENERIC kernel or compile your own that has ptyfs support enabled. I've tried both and always get this: #mount_ptyfs ptyfs /dev/pts mount_ptyfs: ptyfs on /dev/pts: Operation not supported by device Anyone go down this path before? Any insight/help/tips appreciated. Just to close this out, it was user error. Had I actually Read TFM closely enough I would have installed my new kernels correctly. All my kernels boot just fine, and X runs xterms now like a thing of beauty.
