CF Card doesn't boot in Amiga
I can boot another card fine in my 1200 (although there are timing issues with a AC1221EC which means I need to reboot a few times for it to work).
But with a new 4GB Transcend 133x I just get the "insert disk" screen. Booting with both mouse buttons down I don't see the drive present at all. I created the CF image on linux FS-UAE and it boots fine as /dev/sda there. Is this likely to be a hardware issue and should I just try another card (now I notice there is a hardware compat list on this site!) or am I likely to have screwed up the partitioning/format on the CF? |

You should first check HDToolbox on the real Amiga to see if the card really is not recognised. Then do that "reboot a few times" thing and check HDToolbox again. Only if it's still not recognised you need another CF card. Or another accelerator.
If you get HDToolbox to see the card on your real Amiga but it does not boot, then you've screwed up the partitioning on FS-UAE. |
