Lyra 1200 - does it support A2000 keyboard?

I have two Lyra v1 adapters, both refuse to work with an A2000 keyboard attached. The keyboard is OK, I tested it in my CD32 and it works. So I wonder if the Lyra even supports an A2000 keyboard? Or do I have to settle for a PC kb?

When I connect the kb to my A1200 the caps-lock light blinks once, then if I press caps-lock about 6 times the seventh time it doesn't lit anymore. And can't swap PAL/NTSC with space in the early startup-menu.

Are both my Lyras knackered or what's the case?

Ok thanks thomas, it doesn't really say anywhere that Amiga kb's aren't supported. But then again it doesn't say they ARE supported .

Time to hunt down one of those old AT-keyboards and slap an Amiga-sticker on it!

Amiga and PC keyboards are completely different. If it says that it supports PC keyboards this means that Amiga keyboards are not supported, unless it explicitely states otherwise.

That's a little shame, I really like my A2000 kb. But now it goes to use in my CD32 instead

The A2000 kb doesn't need a lyra in the first place, you can wire up a DIN connector to your CIA chip.

Keyboard reset will be missing unless you have an NMB one where you add transistor Q1.. KB reset should show up in an unused pin in the DIN connector then.

Have got Lyra2 from Amigakit and it recognises an A2000 keyboard without problems. The older Lyra1 works only with PC keyboards.

You could also use the Boing Ball keyboard with Lyra

Thnx for suggestion but I'll prefer sticking to A2000/A3000 keyboards that I have and they are the REAL retro thing for me :-)
