Cant use system variables in drive paths?

i'm trying to set say DH1: as %homepath%\Folder

and it says no disk present in DH1: if i type the path in fully it works fine.

can this be fixed in any way?

In configuration file paths and command line paths? Consider it done in few hours

Thanks from me too.
I've NEVER ever used %homepath% in my life, much less did I know about its existence.
Seems that on consumer machines, its value is often identical to %userprofile% which I've been using since Win9x to this day.
(in my case: always, but I would NOT dare claim they always have to be identical; it depends on system configuration, of course)

[edit]Seemingly it was a good thing not to claim that.
