Hello. I'm searching for an CD32 ISO of Darkseed. Anybody have? Is this rare? :-).
And one important question: can i burn CD32 isos by Nero on pc? The isos will work?
Regards,

With .iso files they work fine, but I have installed FireBurner and this works much better (When adding Audio files to the games (mp3`s), this didnt work in Nero for me...)

get FireBurner

What where the differences, out of interest? I've noticed that the PC version has totally different recorded dialogue... very strange!

Still got my original box and discs though! Pretty cool!

As I havn't played Darkseed on any other system than Amiga, I can't tell you the differences between them, but I have played the floppy version and the CD32 version on Amiga and wrote down some of the differences in my "movie comment" here:

This is interesting!

You felt there are less colours on the CD32.
Maybe it´s because they changed the resolution from Lowres Interlace to normal Lowres.

(I´m sure Darkseed only uses 16 colours)

They should have included both versions!

CD32 on the left, Floppy on the right. You can clearly see the difference... a bit low quality in the floppy version as I grabbed the pics from the recording and didn't have a good codec then... but the better quality in the floppy is still noticable. Also, the CD32 version uses brighter colors for some parts which doesn't blend good with the others, the colors in the floppy is a bit darker and blend better.... it's not the codec causing this, I have checked the game in Winuae... weird though.

I didn't "feel" it, I clearly saw it . I played and recorded them in Double line mode, 640x400.... where do you see a "Lowres Interlace" option?.. I only see "Lowres".

Sorry, I wanted to say that I MISSED an option to change resolution in the CD32 version.

I still think (and see ) that both versions use the same colour palette.
Dithering looks better in the Floppy Disk version due to the higher resolution.

They are both recorded in 640x400, double line.. no lowres....

Yup, the floppy looks better, not just because of the dithering caused by it being from a recording, but also because it has more detailed pixels in some areas.... and other design, like her shoulders, compare left shoulder in the left pic to the left shoulder in the right pic.

The original resolution is Lowres or Lowres Interlace.

It´s WinUAE using 640 x 400 to display Lowres ... resolutions.

yes, the original resolution for 99% of the game is lowres........ ahh, think I see what you mean.. no matter what resolution I record in you mean I still record in lowres as the game is in lowres... well....

so.. do you mean the floppy uses higher res or what?.. cause they look different.

Yes!

That´s what I tried to explain.

Floppy version uses Lowres Interlace.
