Yeah beautiful graphics indeed.
Lifeschool was wondering if you really play at that slow speed that your GIFs show but I told him it's just your crappy GIF tool that makes it so slow. Which is the case right? You actually play at 50 fps? |

![]() 'Tiertex' are my gods ![]() ![]() Seriously, games are always at 50 fps. But two issues are impacting the final animated gif : 1) while post processing the animated gif, I have noticed that the process of - desoptimizing the original 50 fps animation - 'exploding' the animation to each and individual frame - adding the avatar (merging it to each and every frame) - recreating the animation - optimizing the animation (2 phase) leads every-time the final animation to be a bit slower that the original one. Honestly, I don't care about this animated gif small speed difference as the game is played at original 50 fps speed. 2) regarding the used PC, while recording, sometimes the fps is going down. This is always the case if I record with the Netbook. Thus, only while recording, due to the higher CPU/HDD charge it may happen that the fps is not at 50. It doesn't happen if I record on a workstation. As a side note : - people in general can try to play at 'higher CPU/HD charge' and they will see it's not that easy as everything is a bit slower (key/joystick reaction as well) - thus making the recording harder than playing the game ![]() - the posted animated gifs should better be taken for what they are : A 'bonus' material in the compo. What they show is the most important, not the speed at which they play. |

I'm a bit rusty at this, I've only ever completed this once, quite a few years ago.
First of all I completed the levels in the wrong order, and the old man told me off. ![]() Then I finished it with all three lives left. Getting a perfect on Maletoth will take a bit more effort. I will probably have enough time to play it twice tomorrow so only a small chance I'll manage it. ![]() 7,500 ![]() ...what...? |

^ Well done capehorn
![]() Hope you will have the time to join on the podium ![]() My last go tonight was for Hybris. Managed to score better than the previous time. Unfortunately, this level 3.3 doesn't seem to be kind enough to let itself beaten. Lost my first life in the mid-level ship-boss. As he was in company with 4 canons, a bullet managed to touch me (had armour 5). It's funny as then, with the small ship (armour 1), I managed to avoid enough bullets to pass this, then I reached the scarab-boss (with armour 3 - or was it 2 ? don't remember ![]() I think it's not far from the end but it seems to me that this part of the level 3.3 is different than the last part of the level 2.3 ?? If someone already finished this level 3.3, I can only say : "hat off !" Anyway, Hybris : 3'064'600 ![]() |

Thank you Dan. I've deleted the off-topic posts regarding this from the Turrican-thread.
