A lizard/dinosaur/alien character going into towns playing arcade machines
I remember playing a simple looking game - maybe a public domain game - where you controlled a lizard, dinosaur or alien looking creature. I think it was green and it had a large stomach. You could do these weird looking long jumps when walking across the screen.
You would walk on the road, avoiding getting hit by monsters or things, and you would go into town where you could walk up to arcade machines and play small mini games. I don't remember exactly what the overall objective of the game was, but it had this catchy tune that stuck with me. I think the tune went something like this (link): http://www.plernpiano.com/share_land...304&autoplay=T Anyone have an idea what game that could be? |

It sounds like multiple different games all joined together to me:
The lizard/dinosaur thing going into towns sounds like Rampage or The Muncher (C64) but you couldn't play games, just smash up the town/eat people etc. The playing arcade machines thing sounds most like Lazy Jones (C64) or the end-sequence of Golden Axe where the kids run out of the arcade. And that piano tune doesn't match any of the games I've suggested |

It was an Amiga game. I think I had it on a floppy containing a few other small games as well. That's why I think it is a public domain game. It was pretty simple looking.
You weren't the villain when you entered towns. I think there was an overall objective of gathering money or something, and you could interact with shopkeepers/bartenders or something in town. The arcade games were simple games, like Pong or Minesweeper - something like that. The music stuck in my head all these years. I'm pretty sure I remember the main part of it correctly, which is what I played on the piano. |

I have only seen picture in review, but there was something like "TaiPei" perhaps the name where to my understanding you were supposed to play arcade games, and that character perhaps looked green.
Always wanted to try that game since i liked Lazy Jones in C64, but never had got it, and today i think it was probably crappy game. |

Unfortunately, it's not one of those suggested games.
I guess I'll have to go through the list of games manually and see if I can spot it. Thanks for helping out though |

Could it be Gilbert The Alien?, also known as
[ Show youtube player ]? I hope so, as this would be the second time I've recognised a game I've never played, simply because I remember the character from

That's the one, thanks a lot! Oh and and check out 1:20 in the youtube video and compare it to the tune I remembered. Not too far off, considering it's been 25 years+ I think |
