Isometric head over heels-alike (and all other isometric games)
I remember having loads of fun with a game very similar to head over heels. Theres a very slim chance it could have been for the c64 cos its so long ago I can't place the year. The main thing I remember is that the graphical style was VERY similar to how head over heels looks for the amiga,,and I think it was puzzle based, kinda like head over heels. It wasn't Cadaver or Immortal, or Heimdall, and it wasn't Shadowlands/worlds.
It would be great if you could just list ALL the isometric games for the amiga as I LOVE all the ones listed above (specially shadowworlds) and I'm always on the lookout for others Thanks in advance to anyone who can help Fin |

I hope that we will see this functionality in HOL 2 (a later revision that is, because it will most likely not appear in the very first version). Would be a great thing, also for me, to retrieve some lost gems of which I've forgotten the name meanwhile. The only isometric puzzle game I can think of is Contraption Zack, but this can't really be called "similar to HoH" Last edited by andreas; 17 October 2004 at 04:37. |

on Amiga the only one I remember is Universal Monsters. Oh, there's also Whizzy (Is this spelled correctly? I think not), but that's a little different, and D-Generation, which is COMPLETELY different (But a game you must check out if you don't know it)
On 8 bits machine, there's Knight Lore, Alien 8, Batman, Gunfright.... those are what I remember now, but I know there are more (I never liked thos games too much...) |

thanks alot guys. So far none that you mention seem to be the one (but I'm yet to check the c64 ones). D-Generation looks ace, I'll try it soon..thanks Shatterhand
There must be more cool isometric games for the amiga though..from memory and searching on HOL I've found these good ones so far: Cadaver Darkmere Heimdall 1&2 Heroquest 1&2 Immortal Shadowlands/worlds Syndicate Voodoo Darkmere and Cadaver look like 2 classics I'm yet to get into :P ..but are there any more?? |

Knight Lore... I used to play that for hours on my mates
amstrad around 1984... used to be able to draw the map for it from memory I did get hold of it and run a suitable emulator for it on the Amiga but after all the effort decided to leave it in the memory only... but to stay inline with the theme what about faery tale adventure? I finished that |

Damn. Its not any of the ones you've suggested. It really did look VERY like head over heels..so think mainly black screen, puzzles like Head over heels; basically a head over heels clone perhaps. But I seem to remember the jump physics to be quicker and snappier than in Head over Heels.
The closest looking suggestion so far is easily Super Hero, but I havn't been able to find it for download yet. Chimera is too blocky and doesnt have the tiled floor like Head over heels and Super Hero. Thanks again, keep 'em coming Fin |

Ok, found the download and Super Hero is close but no cigar. I really couldn't say for sure whether it was c64 or amiga but I'm tempted to say amiga cos its so similar to head over heels on the amiga.
