possible to connect RGB scart to the back of a 1084S?

Just wondering. Is it possible to connect an RGB female scart connector to the back of a 1084S monitors 9pin RGB connector in order to connect multiple RGB equipment to it via a scart splitter?

Cheers

I bought a 9 pin to scart for my Philips 8833-II from ebay I think it was a year ago or more (can't quite remember). Seems like a simple cable to make for someone competent with a soldering iron if you can't find one to buy.

Yep, you just need a simple adaptor, all the signals are electrically the same, and the extra signals in SCART (widescreen, RGB select etc.) aren't relevant for the 1084S.

Thanks for the info: Just brought one...

I imagine the speccy RGB scart will be fine on the 1084S but what about a C64 from a Composite scart connector?

Not a big issue as my other 64 is connected via a chroma/luma cable.

You're using the composite port by plugging to the Chroma channel on your 1084, you can't have both Composite and L/C at the same time. The RGB port is only for RGB.
