Sparse HDFs

Just a couple of things...

1. (This is obviously very minor/trivial.) When WinUAE creates a sparse HDF it writes zeros to the first four bytes of the file. That's not necessary, and causes Windows to allocate some disk space for the file.

2. File Explorer doesn't seem to handle copying sparse files properly; the copy is non-sparse (i.e. wastes disk space) Is there a Windows GUI program that works properly with sparse files?

2. You can not do that with normal file tools. Try cs.exe from http://www.flexhex.com/docs/articles/sparse-files.phtml (it's in sparse.zip - sparse.zip\Sparse\CopyStream\Release)

Also found that Multi Commander can copy sparse files as they are. It says "There is not enough space on target volume", but if you press Continue it will copy it anyway.

1) It is part of dostype writing, not going to change it.
2) I have no idea. I haven't used sparse hdfs since dynamic hdf was introduced, nothing seemed to support sparse files..
