Shadow Of The Beast 2

I recently got the UAE emulator running on my computer and have downloaded a couple of different versions of Shadow Of The Beast 2, but i cant seem to find one with the full intro. If i remember rightly the intro started with Zelek lookin over the valley before turning into a dragon. is that right?

No your right. He raises his staff in into the air and when lightning hits it, he turns into a big winged creature thingie.. then he flies down, breaks open the roof of a hut, and then kidnaps a baby while its mother tries to protect it. Great Intro.

Unfortunately I believe all the cracked version don't have the full intro except for 1 version. If I remember correctly it has 3 disks and a trainer...

Only problem with this version is that it has a weird graphic "on top" of the intro plus I could never get it to load into the game

You're best off trying the find the .ipf version as this works perfectly (as expected)

As http://www.planetemu.net is down it was a bit hard to give you exact names of the version I was taking about above...

However, I just searched through some .adf files that I have and found it. It does definitely have the full intro but again I couldn't get it to load after the "Insert disk 2" screen.

The version is:

... Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)[cr Angels][t +2 TWF](Disk 1 of 3).adf
... Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)[cr Angels][t +2 TWF](Disk 2 of 3).adf
... Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)[cr Angels][t +2 TWF](Disk 3 of 3)(Boot).adf

I will upload this to The Zone for you, maybe you will have more luck than I do

Also, I took a screen shot of the weird graphic on top of the title screen...

Hmmm planetemu's Tosecs collection is out of date. I'm positive all versions available there are missing the first part of the intro "Zelek looking over the valley before turning into a dragon"...

Do you have the .adf version with the full intro that you could upload to The Zone

Insert Disk 2 when you are seeing the "Insert disk 2" screen and press fire, after the short flashing insert Disk 1 and press the left mousebutton, works fine for me.

Ah ok, thought it may have something to do with the flashing and some funky disk swapping trick...

Cheers, thanks for the info. I use the .ipf anyway

This took me a little while to work out as I wanted to add to GameBase Amiga a version with the full intro but without that funked up title screen, and I found one. I don't know the tosec filenames but I believe they are all tosec disks

The crc's are as follows

dd848aed = Boot Disk
fbec76ad = Disk 1
cc570178 = Disk 2

As above, swap between disk 1 and 2 when the screen flashes, this is the 3 disk angels version and trained +1 by angels.

Thanks for the info Belgarath

Although I must say that I don't really like it when you have to swap disks based on a screen flash, especially when there is nothing in the cracktro to convey this. I do understand that it's sometimes unavoidable though...

I think the best .adf version would be the one that demoniac talks about i.e. "SKR released a 2-disk version w/ full intro". Let's hope it makes it into The Zone! for users who cannot find the .ipf file

Yes, i'm using your Gamebase Amiga version, a different boot disk. Works perfectly. But i'm also interested in getting the SKR crack.

Yeh I hate those sort as well, although in this case the cracktro does tell you.
The 2 disk SKR sounds ideal though, but I've never seen it, so if anyone has it then please please zone it!
