Sequencer One or SequencerOne

Does anyone have this?

If so, a zoned ADF/s would be appreciated beyond belief!

I'm not aware of it coming on CD, only floppy, but if you have it on CD still please let me know!

Just found this site: http://www.software-technology.com/ & SequencerOne is in the downloads area.

Are they the real deal, or should I steer well clear of this dodgy-looking site I wonder?

I also found that site and I wonder if Sequencer One is really that small. You could make a free email account (gmail, hotmail), a fake name and check it.

Well, I'm sure it only came on a single floppy, so that could be the correct size...still a bit hesitant about running it in my machine...don't want a virus on my 1200T!!!!

@CD

I don't have WinUAE set up at the moment as I've been using the Mac over PC at home almost religiously, but could set it up on a PC if I really need to.
Does WinUAE have a built-in virus checker, or you just mean to run one within the WinUAE environment for safety's sake?

@kris

Thanks for trying it out. Did you scan it first? I'd hate for you to get infected!

I meant using WinUAE for safety's sake. It's better to check it in a 'sandbox' enviroment than risk your real Amiga. So I guess your using E-UAE on your Mac? That would of course also do the trick

I gave up on emulating with the Mac...it sucks!

I'll have to get WinUAE up & running anyway to try AmigaSYS 4

Yeah, I also think about installing AmigaSYS for myself, but due to a lack of time haven't done so yet. Would be cool if you can tell me how easy the set up was and how you like it

No problem. If version 3 wasn't hard to install version 4 wont kill me. I'll have a try when I some more free time, which is likely never going to happen Have fun with the new stuff FB!

You dont need to fill any details in - just click the download button!

Is an lha file. looks like it will run from floppy as well (has s and c folders. ... I would say that you are in luck - though i would still try it in a sandbox environment first!

Hints & Tips
Allocating in CHIP or FAST RAM. When you run Sequencer One, you
are presented with an allocate song memory requester. If your machine
has both FAST and CHIP RAM you will be able to toggle which you
use for your song. If possible use FAST as this will leave all
the CHIP RAM available for samples...If not make sure you do not
allocate all the CHIP RAM for your song if you are going to use
samples (ie Move the slider to the left some).
Load the demo songs, as this will give you a good idea how to
create your own songs.
To load some of the demo songs, you will need to leave upto 220K
of CHIP RAM free for samples.
Step Editor Screen
------------------
To select an area on the Step Editor screen, deselect both the
INFO and DELETE icons...then click on the grid and drag your mouse
to select the area before you cut or copy.
You can click on the song position bar to advance the song position.
General
-------
Fields can usually be either double-clicked or single clicked.
If you Paste, it will always be at the current song position.
Tapedeck Controls
-----------------
You can loop around a section of music by setting the start and
end positions, then selecting LOOP.
DUB will allow you to overdub onto a track without erasing what
is already there
AUTO will auto-rewind when you click on STOP
Track Screen
------------
The 3 digits to the right of the track name is used for a program
change value.
The 2 digits before the track name is the MIDI or sample channels:
1-16 MIDI Channel number
L Use any one of the left 2 samples channels
R Use any one of the right 2 sample channels
LR Try to use the left channels first, otherwise try right
RL Try to use the right channels first, otherwise try left
The list on the right of the Track Screen is a reminder list, and
allows you to enter a song position and to name that section.
Bar Editor
----------
You can select an area with you mouse to cut or copy.
