Me, i've played at least Indy IV (1993) and Beneath a Steel Sky (1994) on my A1200 with HD.

CF1 is NDOS and CF2 is DOS. The data these games load are exactly the same but the access to them is different.

CF1 use an MFM system with a file table. CF2 is directly amigados file access, way more slower than track reading on CF1.

I often wonder why they deliberately took soo long ..... I could get a cup of coffee in that time. i know maybe parts on multiple disks were to blame, but can also be blamed for everything but still they were quick..... maybe the compression, and/or inadequate code. ?

Nothing like changing 15 floppies..

CF2 is even slower than the first one? I found the loading on the first one made it almost unplayable. Whether the original is like that or whether it was the crack I had, I have no idea.

Dominator by system 3 took ages to load. I thought the game had frozen. But I let it load on my gotek and eventually the game started lol
