Indeed. It appears HD-DVD is making good ground at the moment. I hear Blu-Ray is only avail as single layer so far, and due to this they are using the older mpeg2 codec with it - ouch! HD-DVD on the other hand is using the new stuff (VC1 and H264?) and looking good, now if only I could find a HD-DVD drive for my PC.. then again I'll have to upgrade to a faster system first!

I thought VC1 was actually the standart codec for both. So Microsoft was already the big winner... But I will double check that.
