SMTube on OS4.1 ... Missing files ?

Ok, I just reactivated my AmigaOne after several years since now I have a room for all my amiga stuff again

So I began to update all my usually used Apps to up to date version and came across SMTube. Installed all those .so files needed and mentioned in the readme but when starting SMTube it says I´m missing "libaos4util-newlib.so" but I cannot find it in any package mentioned in the readme ???

Where to find that file ???

It looks like it's part of AmiCygnix, which most people would have installed and maybe the developer forgot that it's not standard. You can find it in the AmiCygnix SDK here: http://os4depot.net/index.php?functi...x-sdk-lite.lha

Strange... Is the file actually there? It should be in SOBJS:

As Daedalus said but did you MANUALLY copy "libaos4util-newlib.so" in SObjs drawer? Sometimes it helps.

Download the SDK I linked to above, extract it and copy it into SOBJS:. Job done.

Oh, sorry about that. It's listed in the contents. I think I have it installed on my system but I never installed the AmiCygnix SDK so I'm sure it must have either come in the main AmiCygnix archive or from OS4 itself. I haven't been near my OS4 machine in a few days but whenever I'm next at it I'll have a look for it.

SMTube is a QT application. Have you installed QT for AmigaOS?

https://sourceforge.net/projects/qtamigaosnative/

@SkulleaterR

It's strange, I don't have any sobjet library with that name. But i have SMTube working fine.

Do you have the last version of QT 4.7 installed ?

I think it's 4.7.0.91

I don't have that library installed either. Normally an installation of QT 4.7 and an installation of SMtube is all that is needed.
I must say that I run AmigaOS 4.1 update 6.
I also build my own version of SMTube with the latest source from the SMTube repository, but that shouldn't matter.

Yeah, I've just looked myself and I don't actually have the file either, so I don't know why you're getting the error. SMTube works fine here, as do the Qt demos. Can you try the mainwindow Qt demo and see if that works? Maybe try deleting your current Qt and SMTube installations and reinstalling both of them for scratch. I have the latest Qt installed, the latest SMTube and OS 4.1FE. All standard stuff.
