how to save directory window?
Hi all, stupid question here.I'm using winuae with workbench installed.using workbench,i have a few directories on my
virtual harddisk with a lot of directories in it.I always have to make directory bigger,so i can see all the drawers in it ,but every time i close any of those directories and i reopen it,it's small again and i have to make it bigger manually again.my question is,can i somehow save the directory appearance so i don't have to make it bigger again?i've tried everything like, save window contents, snapshot etc.using rightclick in the middle of the window, but none works.i hope i made it clear enough,i know it's confusing but i hope you guys understand what i mean.thanks in advance for suggerstions.best regards Jan |

Hold down the right mouse button, choose Window -> Snapshot -> All and that's it

default drawer position/size are stored in envarc:sys/def_drawer.info
this also stores show/all state best way to snapshot this would be make a new directory with icon in ram open said drawer in workbench (lets call it ram:snapshot for the sake of the example) resize and reposition the drawer and do Window->Snapshot->Window open a shell (Workbench->Execute: Newcli) type in: copy ram:snapshot.info envarc:sys/def_drawer.info also for immediate effect without the need of a reboot: copy ram:snapshot.info to env:sys/def_drawer.info Last edited by smoorke; 11 October 2009 at 01:23. |
