A useful reminder of a useful resource, Djay. Haven't checked any of these joints out for a long time. Sounds like interesting Amiga things can be found.

They always have a lovely selection of summer dresses, too.

My latest charity shop bargains..

Original 'Pump Up The Volume' LP by Marrs 10p
Phantom of the Opera (2xLP) 20p

I paid £1 cause I felt generous

Distinct lack of computer software/hardware though but thats probably because I was in Worthing. (Djay should know where that is)

Charity shops don't know what they have, so its a good idea to look through CD boxes etc...

I frequent Good Sammy stores in Oz, I head for that remote shelf where all the dated computer junk resides.

My last big Amiga find comprised of Pinball Fantasies, Prime Mover, Settlers and Super Frog.

C64/128 games and software are in greater abundance, I snatch those up as well whenever I see them.

I thought Marrs only released a 12" single not an lp?? which if I remember right had a very poor b side....you should try and get the us version as it has a cool "Mars needs women" mix..... maybe it was made with an eab member in mind!!!!!

last charity shop bargins for me are:
boxed-
Alien Breed 3D CD32
Alien Breed Tower Assault CD32

all for £2

A better place to try is your local tip, some of them sort through the stuff the public bring in and sell it.

I've had an A1200 for £1.50, A big box of amiga games for £1, an A500 for 50p and lots of micro / midi hifi systems (standard cd, tape, radio) for about £2 each, most of which just had the laser out of focus in the cd player, 5 minute repair job

Also VCR's, hifi seperates, fridges, tv's all for a couple of quid each. It's amazing what people throw away

The one in Sydney Street has a few bits! Have you tried the one next to PC World?

Also try the YMCA Electronics shop in Blatchington Road, Hove

On my way to the local charity shop yesterday, I passed a solicitors...

Sitting outside for the dustman were 4 14" monitors (2 digital control CTX, and 2 crap ancient things) and a 12" mac monitor...

4 trips later and the bloody dustman had been before I could pick up the last ancient 14" one

I've tried the 2 CTX's both way out of focus (they must have had to use large fonts on a 640x480 to even be readable) - fixed

The ancient beastie doesn't like 75Hz and I can't be arsed to change all my picasso settings just to test it, but it switches on and changes mode a couple of times during the startup, so I sounds like it'll work

Not tried the Mac one yet, I'll need to dig a Mac out of the shed to connect it to...

First time anybody got anything out of a solicitor for nothing

Edit: Oops, forgot to mention that when I eventually got to the charity shop, I picked up a copy of Ultimate Doom for £1 (I'm legal at last)

I have the odd amble around the local charity shops but all there seems to be game wise is a lot of PS2 demo disks although one shop has a crappy Spectrum game for £4.99, which still hasn't sold - can't understand why I'm still looking for a mint copy of Moonstone to donate to Ebay
