PCMCIA CF card adapter, that I can buy online?

I know that Amigakit sell them, but I would like to know if there is any adaptr that I can get from any store on the other side of the pond

I would use it mainly to transfer data between the Amiga and PC.

I usually buy on Newegg and similar sites; they sell some but I don't want to waste money getting one that maybe won't work. Thanks!

They are all over e-bay and not too spendy...
Just search for "pcmcia" and "compact flash".
That being said, being on this side on the pond as well, I've ordered from Amigkit several times and had no issues...

I'd recommend Amigakit..

https://a4000t.com/store/ is the cheapest pmcia cf card adaptor I could find.

The guy who runs it seems like a really nice guy.

The drivers off aminet work fine. I can help you with setting it up if need be.

Thanks, I did a search on ebay but most of them were sold in UK; which brings me back to square 1. Found one for 39 USD, which seems madness to me....the price is usually about 10-15

I will keep an eye on ebay; in the worst case I will order from Amigakit (nothing against buy from them, it is just that their shipping costs in US are ridiculously high)

Really, the first result on e-bay when I search for the terms I mentioned is this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCMCIA-Compa...item43bd80e6e4

Well, it doesn't say that it works with Amiga....that's why I made the post and everything, to figure out if any adapter works or if only specific ones works....otherwise I can't explain why people spend 20 dollars when they can buy a cheap one like the one in the link

Yes the seller I suggested is located in USA.

I bought one and use it in my a1200 all the time. All you need is a few drivers off aminet.

a dos handler to use fat32
a cfd device and I think I used giggle disk to make a mount file
I can lookup how I did it, and help you out if you need help..

Edit: I think I also stuck PCMCIA fix in my startup-sequence too.

The amigakit one is probably based on the same drivers.

I can't vouch for that one or the seller. Just a search result.
But it looks like the one I use, and that's about what I spent for mine..

That said, if you want to be sure, Amigakit is great for that.. ;-)

Any items on eBay that say they work on Amiga are marked up extortionatly for the priviliage, the one desiv linked should work just fine

The eBay Amiga dealers just buy cheap ones from China and re-sell them to you for 10x the price

Thanks guys I noticed that when you mention Amiga, the price goes up tenfold

Almost like when you are saying that you want to use something in a music video; the royalties and licenses goes up proportionally :P

Agre Chris, altho you may have issues in some cases...heard some nasty stories about stuff that was broken and sold as working....like everything depends from your luck (that's why I try to avoid as much as possible Ebay, unless it is stuff that is brand new)
