Demos slow after Picasso96

This is an odd one. OS 3.1, kick 3.1. Modern demos like the ephidrina demos and the higher-end ones run super fast. Audio and video in perfect sync. As soon as picasso96 is installed, it all goes to hell.

Even when screenmode is left to (Hi res PAL, the standard res) the demos that were super fast before, are slow and have skipping audio. I thougt it was that i was running in a slow mode like gfex 800x600x16. So i switched back to hi-res standard resolution. The problem still persisted. Demos that worked fine would do odd things in addition to running slow. They would change reolutions, shrink to a tiny window that runs slow with choppy audio. All I did was install picasso. Again, even switching back to standard modes that were lightning fast before, now run like molasses even in the non gfex modes.

Can anyone help?

This is fixed in next release (Picasso96's WaitForVSync was handled quite badly..)

I noticed the problem persists even after vsync is disabled. Try the demo "Fake Electronic Light Show" and hopefully you'll see what I mean...

You misunderstood. Every frame demo calls Picasso96's function that waits for vsync. This is the function that is emulated badly.

This problem has nothing to do with WinUAE's vsync-mode (which is btw, not even used in P96 screens.. yet.)

FELS works just fine now in P96-mode..

Thanks, that's what I thought you meant. I just wanted to make sure I was understanding. Thanks for the outstanding emulator!
