Good new indeed!

I wonder how many accelerator designs could be resurrected for small-scale reruns?

Dunno... GVP have recently sold some 4Mbyte GVP SIMMS to SoftHut who are now selling them on at the beastly price of $35 each!

I would prefer to buy VIA Amigakit rather than wait for something to arrive or not arrive from this site...

Am I right in thinking that GVP are based in the USA, therefore aren't subject to the ROHS-compliance issues DCE would be..?

If so that's a bugger - no re-runs of the really sort-after accelerators. I can imagine it makes economic sence to do re-runs of old designs when there's enough demand but not if a redesign is required...

Great Valley Products - GVP-M

April 2, 2009 Update - Software Hut and GVP have teamed to bring back many popular GVP products for the Amiga at new, lower prices. These are newly made production pieces with a full 1 year warranty. Many of the items are limited production so hurry as they will sell out fast.

GVP Spectrum Graphics Board

GVP Typhoon A1200 030 40MHz Accelerator

I owned a Spectrum RTG card and thought it ruled. Just as good as the better known cards I think. Also I think I read somewhere that the new GVP cards can take 72pin simms.

As far as I remember GVP products always needed expensive, hard to find memory modules for expansion, making them not a very good buy in my opinion.
Best to invest that kind of money in a Blizzard, Apollo or Microbotics.

you should also keep in mind that all the apollos or blizzards are over 10th year of their life time now though the GVP stuff is new.

but of course 030's and 060's that come with the boards are not new IMHO.
