Suspicious Cargo Walkthrough
Hi Guys
I used to own an Amiga 500+ back in the day. I loved the adventure games Simon the Sorcerer, Snowball to name but two of my favourites. Now I have a PC and use XBox4SYS on Winuae with a boat load of games. At the moment I am trying to get to grips with Suspicious cargo but even though I am well versed in text and point&click with out the manual I cant get anywhere is there anybody that can help with the above, somebody who might have the docs or a walkthrough that might give me a bit of a start. I would love to finish this game as it was one of the first I bought for my Amiga back in the day. |

Hey Choccyshop,
Welcome to EAB On Lemon Amiga you can find the manual Also, on LSD Docs Disk 25 you can find: ... SuspiciousCargo.Doc ... SuspiciousCargoStory.Doc Edit: I haven't checked if the first file is actually the walkthrough or not though. Last edited by DamienD; 18 September 2018 at 15:02. |

Thought I would give this a bash today! No help anywhere that I can find, no hints, no walkthrough and no longplay on YouTube.
Wondering has anyone managed to get far and beat this Problem is it has one of those really annoying features at the start where you die after so many many turns (grrrr) so cannot spend an awful amount of time taking your time to search things |

Sum guy on Lemon has marked it as "completed". Maybe give him a shout.
And yeah, I do hate this turn-clock feature in IF myself. |

I did see that, but his last post was 2008! He's probably forgotten, but worth a shout I suppose.

Given it a quick bash and hopefully will try some more over the weekend
I can get on the ship pretty easily without being killed. But I never have time to take the plastic mermaid from the bar AND get on the ship - always shot beforehand (usually just after handing passport over) Guessing you may need this as instructions state "mermaids can be useful" Would hate to battle on and then find out I need it! |

Ok - to get that mermaid and buy more time - you have to do this:
1. Push pad in coffin 2. Open compartment 3. Take bag / open bag 4. Close compartment / open coffin 5. Give courier 10 credits (this buys more time) 6. Go to bar / ask barmaid about mermaid / take mermaid 7. Go to customs / show passport 8. Put red keycard in slot / enter ship 9. Tell Babbage to launch (or you get killed a short time after) Unfortunately there are still so many turns left when on the ship - I thought all of this would have gone after you boarded. Been caught up by other ships and blown up. You don't get the luxury of taking your time and exploring the ship - which is hugely annoying I would rather be stuck and figure out what to do rather than getting killed after so many turns. Grrrrr |

Not going to have a chance to play this again until Monday - if anyone else wants a go I am about 18% in after the following is done:
Wait for message that police are closing in 1. Go to command room / bridge 2. Put navigation cartridge in slot 3. Examine hyperspace governor 4. Push switch 5. Pull lever Explosion happens.... 6. Ask Babbage about explosion 7. Ask Babbage about bypass 8. Go to aux. control room 9. Puzzle (can bypass) but need to ensure different shapes and colours are not on same lines, horizontal or vertical Babbage states we need to make jump into hyperspace Stuck here at the moment - my ship gets fired on and explodes. Game over with 18% completed. Even though repaired (I have done the bypass and completed the puzzle myself) I am unsure how to get the ship into hyperspace to outrun the police ship. Examining the hyperspace governor it states co-ordinates need to be inputted first - can't find an option for this - actually unsure if the explosion would happen if there is a way to do this correctly? Will leave the above if anyone else fancies an attempt |

I completed it sometime between 2010-2013 so I've no memory of the whereabouts of this walkthrough. The game has some really annoying "features" which makes it almost impossible to complete without some help. I walkthrough I used did not give you a full score at the end either. EDIT: Found it! It's here in two parts in issues 22-23: http://www.syntax2000.co.uk/issues/index.html Last edited by mk1; 12 April 2020 at 14:04. |

Respect-a-mundo
Much appreciated. Will continue to have a bash but at least for somewhere to refer to when I become stuck. Thanks again |

No problemo!
I've included both parts of the walkthrough here in case someone still needs them and the original source goes down. Good luck with the game! |

Walkthrough is handy - however holds some errors - annoyingly right near the end
Asks you to put the powerpack in the blaster gun - but have never been told to pick it up! Unsure where too! Grrrr Other part held items in different rooms than stated (red tank for one) and where it states take octopus - you have to search the aquarium first - some parts are a bit jumbled. Managed to work around some - but the gun part is the main problem. Was hoping to see this end screen too! |
