...but very nice I guess I'll have to manually rename their ~Uploads folder though, but that's ok. |

Mine shows as a legacy account also because it was active before the changes. Not a problem for me and I bet a lot are the same at the moment, but a sort through users and matching names would probably not go amiss.

Ok, just sent you €200 in beer money Turran for hosting plus all your continued hard work for EAB members
Guys, if you use this service in any form, then I suggest you donate also. It doesn't need to be anything crazy; and I'm sure Turran doesn't expect this... but why not donate €5 or €10 if you can? PayPal: eab "at" grandis "dot" nu (obviously remove spaces / replace words in quotes with symbols) |

Thanks, very much appreciated =) It'll actually go to the ISP bill this month. Edit: As a thanks back, eabadmins now have an easier time selecting another user at https://www.grandis.nu:444/eabuser =) Last edited by Turran; 18 November 2017 at 17:59. |

Please don't disable "turranius" =)
As for the yellow ones; we don't really need to rename the FTP account / upload folder unless you really want to. Just register their real EAB forum name with the "Change EAB Forum name" function. Then we can keep track of them anyway. There will still be users whose names does not match up due to spaces/weird chars in EAB usernames anyway.. I can do a "reverse search" as well, so we can search for EAB forum accounts and get the FTP account for it and not just the other way around as it is now. Agreed. Have to remember that the eabadduser page does not allow for a lot of different characters in the usernames. For example, rare_j probably tried to create an FTP account called rare_j but it got automatically renamed to rarej because of the underscore, so that is not his fault and he is logged as rare_j when checking with "eabuser" =)
Edit: Yepp, checked =) Code:
17-11-04 12:55:04 - * - Changing username: User:rare_j was renamed to rarej 17-11-04 12:55:04 - * - OK Adding: User:rarej Question:amiga PostCount:740 17-11-04 12:55:04 - * - Result: 200 User (rarej) successfully added. |

I was already sure that this wasn't rare_j's fault
Ok, so what you are telling me is that an "_" in a username is not allowed on the FTP. Anyway, that's cool, anyone with an "_" in your EAB username but not in your FTP username; continue as per normal and I won't change anything Last edited by DamienD; 18 November 2017 at 19:20. |

EAB File Server
Yes, any chars except for a-z 0-9 will be stripped. Thats why the ”real” eab forums name is logged on each user as well
So unless we want a lot of work, concentrate on those that say ”legacy account” on eabuser. I PMed a list of all those users previously Those are the ones we do not know who they are. However, the red ones seems correct to delete. Yellow ones, if we know who they are, should only be linked on the eabuser page. Last edited by Turran; 18 November 2017 at 19:26. |
