http://sysinfo.d0.se/pub/SysInfo_4.1b15 and see if you get a guru when you shut down SysInfo on A500 with both 1.2 and 1.3 (yes, please remove the trapdoor ram), thanks. |

Works perfectly fine on a real 1MB Amiga 500 (Kickstart 1.3, rev.6a board).
Loaded and worked correctly from both floppy disk drive and Gotek. I haven't disable the trapdoor RAM, though. Maybe I'll do it later. Thanks for the continued work on SysInfo! Cheers! |

No problem, thanks for continuing to work on it! I will check it out later tonight and report back.

I would suggest you to paste changelog to beta versions so we know what's changed and what to focus on testing. |

Both the earlier version 4 and this recent one still seem to report the MHz of my CPU as "4". I have
an A3640 with 040->060 adapter. It does detect that I have an 060 correctly, though. |

Still doesn't correct the 060 speed either. This should be priority one IMHO.

060 speed is probably my number one priority also but that doesn't mean that it is the top priority of the programmer or the rest of the world. I don't think that the 060 problem is an easy fix or it would have been done already. Piru is an excellent programmer and he never could get "Which Amiga" working right.

it's a long shot, but why not have a little chat with Gunnar von Bohen over at Apollo-core.com
He has extensive knowledge of the 68xxx.. He might have som clever input... After all he is the brain behind the core thats currently beating the 060 in performance... |

Sorry I got a little delayed and couldn't get to my 2 500s. I plan on testing tomorrow, if all goes well.

@Zippy Zapp what happened next?
@Geijer, do you have any plans for Apollo-core detection? Attn-flags won't cut it, but the CPU has a bunch of instructions that only exist in Apollo-core so it should be doable :-) |

maybe it will save you some time / frustration if you simply ask Gunnar in forums, he usually shares snippets of code.

Is already known how to include a more precise MHz calculation into SysInfo? I remember CPUSPEED was very accurate even with overclocked 060'. Maybe the coder of this tool could help.

And if you were referring to Joerg Richter then finding him is probably a lot more work than writing the code |

Yes that will be great as at the moment there is no way to tell what firmware revision is on the Vamp II

Tried 4.1b15 on Vampire with latest SILVER3 core. It works.
If you want, we can help with core recognition, we already have tools to get those strings displayed on CLI. |
