Top Banana - Graphics bug?
Remember Top banana by HEX/Coldcut? Well, I urged myself to play this crap vertical scrolling platform game to grab a couple of screenshots. I made it to level 4, which is a sort of techno-world (see right picture). When I reach certain parts in this level, the screen switches to negative colors (see left picture) and the game slows down to a snail pace.
Now I wonder whether this is a graphics bug or a dazzling blitter-feature of the game. Has anyone also experienced this 'bug' (let alone made it past level 2)? I have played the game only in WinUAE. |

I'd say you have a dodgy version or it's an emulator bug. From memory I played through all levels on a real Amiga when I wrote the WHDLoad install and never saw that happening.

They probably had some colour blind gfx artist do all the graphics or something. Shockingly bad game to boot...

It probably is a bad crack I have in my possession. I was just curious about the strange graphics effect. I cannot bother to have another go at this game in an other Amiga emulator - it hurts my eyes and is bad for my mood.
 This game is so bad it is almost kult. |

I think the game is a whole graphic, audio and programming bug in itself.
