1200 emu ROMs

Gosh, really feels like I'm spamming - it's just that I've got so many questions...

I've got kick13 and kick31 in my WinUAE folder, but seems that WinUAE doesn't recognise my kick31 for 1200 emu. For no good reason as far a I can tell...

Your ROM image is most likely hacked or beta. Only official Kickstart ROMs are automatically recognized.

From the first of release of WinUAE which had automatic ROM detection (was it 0.9.90?) my custom-made A1200 configs with 68EC020 CPU's didn't work, I kept getting an error message along the lines of "68020 or greater CPU required". It turned out that the 3.1 ROM I was using was an A4000 ROM, not an A1200 ROM. Could that be the problem here too?

The A4000 came shipped with a minumum of an 030. Typical models were 030/25, 030/50, 040/25, 040/40. The KS3.1 rom for the A4000 would therefore (like the 1200s) have expected the machine to have had a minimum of an 020 in it.

As such, I expect your 3.1 ROM actually comes from an A500/600/2000 machine.
