16 Blitz Tronix and 16 Blitz Plus budget labels

Does anybody have any information about the difference between those two labels? Gemini Wing was distributed under both labels and I'm wondering why: https://amiga.abime.net/games/view/gemini-wing#scans

I just think it was a rebrand mid-year, there iirc half a dozen on the same older plus label, but then they all moved onto the newer Tronix branded budget name.

Guess that would make sense, but to print new boxes for the same titles just because you want to change the name of the label is a bit... Anyway, thanks for the answer

Yeah i thought that too, perhaps they sold well enough to make another run with the new designs. Some companies had the funds to worry about such things, others not so much i guess.

Would be interesting to know if Gemini Wing sold that well as a budget title. Compared to other budget labels there weren't many games on the '16 Blitz' ones.

From my findings making my budget posters, i have listed 14x 16 Blitz titles, 6x 16 Blitz Plus, and 13x 16 Blitz Tronix.

But there still a few budget labels with small number of games, 6 games or under;

Unique - 6
Touchdown! - 4
Tactix - 4
React - 4
Games Worth Playing - 6

But for most of these Labels there was regular Release and than under the budget Label.

React is Budget from Alternatve
Tactix is Budget from Impressions
Unique is Budget from Grandslam?
And the two others did not know.

Mirror Image was Budget of Mirrorsoft.
Energize was also Impressions but had also own Titels.
Smash 16 and Action Sixteen are also a big Budget Publisher but they belong to no one, isn´t it? Or maybe Infogrames?

16 Blitz was Budget Release inside the Budget Release.
