conductive rubber based gamepad
Hi,
I tried to use my old atari gamepads on amiga. What i have found first, was a resistor inside. Did not find such a resistor in amiga joysticks. So i shorted it out. But as it still was not working i took a look a the resistance between ground and the fire button contact. Its a conductive rubber based switch, and thus the resistance was some hundred ohms. Do the joysticks have to have zero resistance, and conductive rubber based switches will never work on the amiga? |

Test it - try to connect pads with some conductor. I can imagine situation where resistance bellow few ohms perhaps less than 20..30 is expected...
