Abime.net offline

Ok, I finally was able to jump to netcenter this morning.

The reason why hard-reboot didn't help us to came back to life was a (stupid) warning about our backup disk: "Drive 2 on adapter 0 is predicting a future failure. Press any key to continue..."
So I guess it's time to find a new hard drive

Sorry it was long to fix the situation.

Don't worry about the length of time, the main thing is EAB and the Abime.net servers are now up and running again

Good job.

Not sure if it is known or not, but accessing the forums via http://eab.abime.net/ gives an error:
"The requested URL /main.php was not found on this server."

On the other hand, accessing it via:
http://eab.abime.net/?styleid=1
(link found in the main abime page) works fine.

I had the same result, but after clearing of caches and cookies it work normally.

It's been a long five days without EAB, which made me realize, just how addicted I am to this place.

Even a full refresh (Ctrl + F5) was enough. Silly me for not thinking of doing that

I'm just pleased it was a proper technical problem and not some type of attack being made, there have been enough of those in the past especially on a couple of satellite forums that I go to.

Thanks RCK for getting the problem identified and for getting the forum up and running again

Is that a S.M.A.R.T monitoring warning from bios ? Might be able to switch it off ?
