Running "In the Dead of Night" from HDD
Has anyone managed to run this game from a HDD?
I'm trying with FS-UAE. The introduction plays, the title shows, then the screen stays black when the language selection menu should appear. Things I tried: - Copy the 3 disks into a directory in my WB installation, ASSIGN the names of the disks to said directory (in my startup-sequence), copy a library and a font in the relevant locations in my WB installation. - Make a new bootable hardfile, copy the 3 disks to it, copy the ASSIGN command to the C directory and add the 3 ASSIGNs to the startup-sequence (so as to boot to the same environment as the disk does). The game works fine from the disks, even with the drives set to turbo speed. |

I have it running from CD so it will work that way, i will take a look when i’m back on my laptop.

Just checked, all i had was the 3 disk assigns 'DoN1' 'DoN2' 'DoN3' so not sure why its not working for you if you had already done that.

I tried 2.05 and 3.1, AGA and ECS. It only works from disk. I'll do more tests and report back. Thanks!

in my GameBase Trilogy (my project) this game working good installed on HD.
But it works good also with WinUAE normal A600 setup: 1 MB ChipRAM, ECS, Kickstart 2.05. [ Show youtube player ] |
